HOW DOES THE FREIGHT EXCHANGE WORK?

The Freight Exchange is a transportation trading platform, an accessible freight software from a browser that greatly assists in matching the free capacity of carriers with the demands of shippers in a puzzle-like manner. It helps the parties easily and comfortably find each other based on route, dates, and vehicle requirement/capacity, thus fulfilling transportation solutions in a cost-effective way. The algorithms of the Freight Exchange bring together the ‘puzzle pieces’ of transportation. Our carrier partners can use the Freight Exchange trading platform without a subscription, and our shippers can use it for free.

Our shippers can create freight requests for free, while our carrier partners can send bids on the requests even without a subscription.

Frequently asked questions about the Freight Exchange:

Is the Freight Exchange like a forwarding company?

No. The Freight Exchange is an online software that can be used through a web browser from anywhere in the world via the internet, even from a mobile phone, which automates the connection between carriers and shippers through built-in algorithms, enabling them to link demands and capacities without the need for forwarders or freight organizers.

Example: if János, the carrier, has subscribed to van-sized/weight requests between Munich and Budapest or Milan and Budapest due to free capacity – for instance, for the period between December 2 and 20 – then the Freight Exchange will send an instant notification about new related requests to him, allowing him to send offers to the corresponding - private or company shippers uploaded - requests before anyone else.

Thus, very advantageous solutions/agreements can be established for both parties with the help of the Freight Exchange.

How much does it cost to use the Freight Exchange as a shipper?

Creating requests is free for shippers. A minimal cost arises only if they regularly use the Freight Exchange and send many messages to the bidding carriers. Messages can be sent for a fee of 100 HUF/message, which amount starts from 0 HUF at registration but is deducted from the carrier's credit balance, which is creditworthy up to -1,000 HUF. If the balance does not reach 1,000 HUF in debt, it is not necessary to top up the balance, thus occasional shippers can use the quote request service for free.

How much does it cost to use the Freight Exchange as a carrier?

Our carriers can use the Freight Exchange without a subscription, and can send offers on loads uploaded by shippers even without a subscription.

If the shipper accepts the carrier's offer, then the Freight Exchange will deduct a 10% trading commission from the carrier's balance account based on the established freight rate. The shipper does not have to pay anything. Once the Freight Exchange successfully deducts the 10% commission from the available amount, both parties instantly receive each other's direct contact information, allowing them to refine the completion details, for example, through a phone call.

The carrier can decide if it is worth using the Freight Exchange with a subscription.

With a valid subscription, the carrier's phone number appears next to submitted offers, allowing negotiations and clarification of details to occur much faster through a more convenient communication channel (e.g., phone).
